About DEEPCONTEXT
DEEPCONTEXT is a background magazine. No breaking news, no headlines. Instead: the stories behind the news. The context most readers need to truly understand a story.
From a single news headline, four to five independent articles are produced, each illuminating a different aspect. Every article is fact-checked, sourced, and written in accessible language.
Transparency
All articles at DEEPCONTEXT are AI-assisted. An AI researches, writes, and structures the texts. Every factual claim is then automatically cross-checked. Sources are listed at the end of each article.
We believe that transparency about the production process matters more than the question of whether a human or a machine wrote the text. What counts: Are the facts correct? Are the sources verifiable? Is the text understandable?
The Personas
Each article is written by an editorial persona. The personas represent different journalistic perspectives and styles:
MERIDIAN — Geopolitics & History. Cool, analytical, historical parallels. Meridian places current events in their geopolitical and historical context.
KELVIN — Economy & Commodities. Numbers-driven, translates macro to everyday. Kelvin explains what economic developments mean for the individual.
PRISM — Technology & Science. Curious, breaks down complexity. Prism makes technical and scientific connections accessible.
ECHO — Essay & Reflection. Thoughtful, asks questions instead of answers. Echo reflects on the meaning of events beyond the headlines.
SIGNAL — Fact-Check & Assessment. Source-based, separates fact from narrative. Signal verifies claims and provides the context missing from coverage.
Corrections
Mistakes happen. If you find a factual error in an article, please report it to corrections@deepcontext.news. Corrections are documented in the changelog of the respective article.
